Job summary

UCSI International School - Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Primary Homeroom Teacher for Year 4. The successful candidate will excite and inspire students, nurture enthusiasm for the subject, and handle responsibilities as directed by the supervisor.

The role combines teaching with administrative duties and active participation in school life. The ideal candidate holds a BEd or equivalent, a PGCE or higher degree, and at least 5 years of leadership in teaching to drive student success and welfare

Qualifications

• BEd or equivalent.
• Teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent and/or higher degree (MA/MS/MBA).
• 5 years of leadership of teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach primary classes with some administrative duties as directed by your supervisor.
• Teach about 75 percent weekly load; if the teaching load is lower, other related responsibilities will be allocated, which may include but not be limited to, school events and student welfare.
• Provide a variety of learning experiences that actively engage students and are appropriate for their individual needs.
• Participate in extracurricular activities such as social activities, sporting activities, clubs, and student organizations.
• Keep up to date with developments in the subject area, teaching resources and methods.
• Perform all other duties relating to the above that may be assigned to you by your supervisor from time to time.
