Job summary

Collinz International School seeks a passionate Preschool Teacher for our Bandar Botanic campus in Selangor. Qualifications

• Recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
• Proven experience with 3-5 year olds in a school or preschool setting.
• Strong knowledge of child development theories and play-based learning methodologies.
• Excellent communication with children, parents and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver age-appropriate lesson plans incorporating play-based learning.
• Create and maintain a safe, clean, organized and stimulating classroom environment.
• Observe and assess children's development, progress and learning needs, sharing observations with parents and colleagues.
• Support children's social and emotional development by fostering positive relationships and teaching emotional regulation.
• Encourage physical development through age-appropriate activities and outdoor play.
• Communicate regularly with parents through updates and meetings to support continuity between home and school.
• Collaborate with fellow educators to ensure consistent implementation of school policies and best practices.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning styles and needs and promote inclusivity.

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our Early Childhood Education team at our Bandar Botanic campus in Selangor. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in shaping the educational experiences and development of young learners aged 3-6 years. As a Preschool Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging and safe learning environment where children can develop socially, emotionally, cognitively and physically. You will work collaboratively with parents and colleagues to support each child's individual learning journey and help them develop essential foundational skills for their future educational success.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate play-based learning, hands-on activities and curriculum objectives
• Create and maintain a safe, clean, organized and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
• Observe and assess children's development, progress and learning needs, maintaining detailed records and sharing observations with parents and colleagues
• Support children's social and emotional development by fostering positive relationships, managing behaviour constructively and teaching emotional regulation skills
• Encourage physical development through age-appropriate activities, outdoor play and movement-based learning
• Communicate regularly with parents through informal updates, progress reports and parent-teacher meetings to support continuity between home and school
• Collaborate with fellow educators and support staff to ensure consistent implementation of school policies and best practices
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse learning styles, abilities and needs of individual children within your class
• Promote inclusivity and celebrate cultural diversity within the classroom
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold all safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures

What we’re looking for

• Recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education, Preschool Teaching or equivalent (such as a Diploma in Early Childhood Education or Teacher Training certification)
• Proven experience working with young children aged 3-5 years in a school or preschool setting
• Strong knowledge of child development theories and play-based learning methodologies
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact positively with children, parents and colleagues
• Patience, empathy and genuine passion for working with young learners
• Ability to create engaging, creative and developmentally appropriate learning activities
• Sound understanding of safeguarding, child protection and health and safety requirements in early childhood settings
• First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Flexibility and adaptability in response to children's changing needs and interests
• Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is desirable
