Job summary

Wärtsilä Energy is seeking a Shift Operator for our Indonesia plant to ensure smooth, safe operation of power generation assets. You will monitor performance, maintain standards, and support continuous improvement in a fast-paced, collaborative team.

The role requires daily presence in Indonesia with up to 20% travel; candidates should have a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and 1–3 years of power plant experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years in a similar role; power plant operations or industrial environments desirable.
• Strong understanding of plant operations, equipment monitoring, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Operational Monitoring: Continuously monitor and record parameters for all equipment under the contract.
• Equipment Maintenance: Conduct routine checks and report abnormalities promptly.
• Incident Reporting: Identify and elevate operational issues for timely corrective actions.
• Team Collaboration: Work with other crews and departments for seamless operations across shifts.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and promote a culture of safety.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate logs and reports of operational activities, inspections, and incidents.
• Support Continuous Improvement: Participate in initiatives to improve plant efficiency and reliability.
