Wärtsilä Energy seeks a Shift Operator to ensure safe and smooth operation of our power plant in Timika, Papua, Indonesia. The role requires daily attendance at the plant and travel about 20% to support site operations.

You will monitor plant performance, maintain equipment, report incidents, and collaborate with multiple teams to sustain high reliability. A Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering is preferred with 1–3 years of relevant experience.

Formación

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years in a similar role; prior exposure to power plant operations or industrial environments is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of plant operations, equipment monitoring, and troubleshooting.

Responsabilidades

• Operational Monitoring: Continuously monitor and record parameters for all equipment under the contract to ensure optimal performance.
• Equipment Maintenance: Conduct routine checks to keep equipment in top working condition and report any abnormalities promptly to the Shift Supervisor or Operation Foreman.
• Incident Reporting: Identify and elevate operational issues, ensuring timely corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other crews and departments to maintain seamless operations and effective communication across shifts.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to safety protocols and operational procedures, promoting a culture of safety and reliability.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate logs and reports for operational activities, inspections, and incidents.
• Support Continuous Improvement: Participate in initiatives aimed at improving plant efficiency and reliability.
