Job summary

APRIL seeks a QC Inspector to ensure the highest quality and safety standards across all power plant equipment during scheduled shutdowns. You will perform visual and technical inspections and report findings to support reliability and operational excellence.

Ideal candidates hold a Diploma or Bachelor's in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, have at least 3 years in QA/QC in energy, and are fluent in English. Certifications such as AWS-CWI/CSWIP and ISO 9001 are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience as QC Inspector/QA Engineer in a power plant or energy industry.
• Strong knowledge of inspection standards for power plant equipment (ASME, API, ASTM, ISO).
• Fluent in English (spoken and written) for technical communication and reporting.
• Certifications such as Welding Inspector (AWS-CWI or CSWIP) and ISO 9001 are advantageous; HSE certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct visual and technical inspections of all power plant equipment (turbine, boiler, generator, piping, valves, electrical systems).
• Prepare detailed inspection reports in line with company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Identify potential defects, non-conformities, or safety risks.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to follow up on corrective actions.
• Ensure all inspection activities comply with HSE procedures.
• Provide technical recommendations to improve equipment quality and reliability.
