Job summary

Japfa is seeking a Plant Manager to oversee Medan operations, driving production targets and ensuring quality and quantity across the line. You will lead the plant crew, monitor performance, and foster development of personnel while ensuring costs and investments support efficiency.

The role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and English proficiency, with Mandarin a plus, and placement in Medan on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or Industrial Engineering.
• 3+ years as Plant Manager in the same industry or 5+ years in another industry, or 6+ years as Production/ME Supervisor.
• Strong leadership, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in English (verbal and written); Mandarin is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and achieve production targets while ensuring product quality and quantity.
• Lead, monitor, and evaluate Plant team performance and develop staff.
• Monitor Plant costs, investments and operational development for efficiency.
• Analyze operational issues and develop strategies and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a safe, healthy, and compliant work environment per K3 and 5S standards.
