Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Production & Pelleting Operations

• Set pellet mill rolls according to feed formulations and production requirements to achieve optimal machine performance and production capacity.
• Adjust crumbler rolls based on feed type to ensure the required particle size specifications are met.
• Operate pellet mill machines efficiently to maximize production output and machine performance.
• Replace dies, rolls, and sieves according to maintenance schedules and operational requirements.
• Separate start-up and shutdown production batches to maintain consistent feed color and product quality.
• Perform proper changeover inspections and procedures to prevent cross-contamination between different feed products.

Quality Control

• Conduct routine particle size inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Monitor and verify Pellet Durability Index (PDI) according to company specifications to ensure pellet strength during storage and transportation.
• Ensure feed conditioning temperature meets the required standards to support feed quality and bacterial control.
• Monitor feed temperature after the cooler to ensure products meet specifications before packaging.
• Maintain product quality through proper machine cleanliness and operational controls.
• Inspect bins during product changes to prevent contamination and maintain feed quality standards.

Equipment Maintenance

• Clean magnet pipes, elevators, and pellet press equipment to prevent metal contamination and ensure smooth material flow.
• Monitor motor and bearing temperatures regularly to prevent overheating and equipment failure.
• Apply lubrication or oil to dies at the end of each shift to prevent blockages and maintain equipment performance.
• Perform autonomous maintenance activities on pellet mill machines and supporting equipment.
• Maintain the cleanliness of internal machine components to ensure optimal machine performance and product quality.

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare pellet mill downtime reports for performance analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare daily pelleting efficiency reports, including machine performance and production capacity data.
• Maintain autonomous maintenance records for pellet mill equipment.
• Accurately record and report machine operating conditions and production performance.

Housekeeping, Safety & Compliance

• Maintain cleanliness of machines, equipment, and work areas in accordance with company housekeeping standards.
• Ensure work areas remain safe, organized, and conducive to operational efficiency.
• Comply with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) requirements, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Report unsafe conditions, equipment malfunctions, and product quality deviations to the supervisor.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and company policies.

Tanggung Jawab Utama

Operasional Pelleting dan Produksi

• Melakukan pengaturan (setting) roll mesin pellet press sesuai formula dan kondisi produksi untuk mencapai kapasitas dan kualitas yang ditetapkan.
• Melakukan pengaturan (setting) roll mesin crumbler sesuai jenis produk pakan guna menghasilkan ukuran partikel yang sesuai standar.
• Mengoperasikan mesin pellet press secara optimal untuk memaksimalkan kapasitas dan efisiensi produksi.
• Melakukan penggantian die, roll, dan saringan (sieve) sesuai jadwal maupun kebutuhan operasional.
• Melaksanakan pemisahan produk awal dan akhir produksi (start-up dan shut-down product segregation) untuk menjaga konsistensi warna dan kualitas produk.
• Memastikan proses pergantian produksi (change over) dilakukan dengan baik untuk mencegah kontaminasi silang antar produk.

Pengendalian Mutu Produk

• Melakukan pemeriksaan ukuran partikel (particle size) pakan secara berkala untuk memastikan kesesuaian dengan standar mutu.
• Melakukan pemeriksaan Pellet Durability Index (PDI) sesuai standar perusahaan untuk memastikan kekuatan fisik pellet selama penyimpanan dan distribusi.
• Memastikan suhu conditioning mash mencapai standar yang ditentukan guna mendukung proses pemasakan dan pengendalian bakteri.
• Melakukan pengecekan suhu pakan setelah cooler untuk memastikan produk aman dan sesuai standar sebelum dikemas.
• Memastikan kualitas pakan tetap terjaga melalui kebersihan mesin dan area proses produksi.
• Melakukan pemeriksaan bin saat pergantian produk untuk mencegah terjadinya kontaminasi.

Pemeliharaan dan Perawatan Peralatan

• Membersihkan pipe magnet, elevator, dan mesin press untuk mencegah kontaminasi logam serta menjaga kelancaran aliran material.
• Melakukan pengecekan suhu motor dan bearing secara rutin untuk mencegah overheating dan kerusakan peralatan.
• Memberikan pelumas atau minyak pada die sesuai prosedur pada akhir shift untuk menjaga kondisi peralatan dan mencegah penyumbatan.
• Melakukan perawatan mandiri (autonomous maintenance) terhadap mesin pellet mill dan peralatan pendukung.
• Menjaga kebersihan bagian dalam mesin guna mendukung performa mesin dan kualitas produk.

Pelaporan dan Dokumentasi

• Membuat laporan downtime mesin pellet press untuk kebutuhan analisis dan perbaikan berkelanjutan.
• Menyusun laporan harian efisiensi proses pelleting, termasuk kapasitas produksi dan performa mesin.
• Menyusun laporan kegiatan perawatan mandiri mesin pellet press.
• Melakukan pencatatan dan pelaporan kondisi operasional mesin secara akurat dan tepat waktu.

Housekeeping, K3, dan Kepatuhan

• Menjaga kebersihan mesin, peralatan, dan area kerja sesuai standar housekeeping perusahaan.
• Memastikan area kerja selalu dalam kondisi aman, rapi, dan mendukung operasional yang efektif.
• Menerapkan standar Keselamatan dan K3, penggunaan APD, serta prosedur kerja yang berlaku.
• Melaporkan setiap kondisi tidak aman, kerusakan peralatan, atau penyimpangan kualitas kepada atasan.
• Mematuhi seluruh SOP, instruksi kerja, dan kebijakan perusahaan dalam menjalankan tugas.
