Job summary

PT Pacific Indopalm Industries, located in Dumai, Riau, seeks a chemistry laboratory professional to analyze raw materials and refinery samples, and to perform utility testing in a fully automated palm oil refinery. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field and 3 years in a lab environment; fresh graduates are welcome.

You will maintain records, manage inventory, and ensure lab safety and cleanliness while complying with GLP and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum S1 in Chemistry, Chemical Analysis, or related field.
• 3 years of laboratory experience; fresh graduates welcome to apply.
• Experience in palm oil, edible oil, or chemical industry is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of Quality, Safety, and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).
• Willing to work in shifts if required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze incoming raw materials (CPO, CPKO, bleaching earth, etc.).
• Analyze refinery process samples, fractionation, and finished products per quality standards.
• Perform utility sample testing (wastewater, cooling tower water, boiler water).
• Maintain accurate records of analysis results in logbooks and lab systems.
• Manage laboratory inventory and ensure availability of chemicals, equipment, and consumables.
• Ensure laboratory cleanliness, orderliness, and safety per SOPs.
