Job summary

SASC Official in Jakarta, Indonesia is seeking a Packaging Development & Product Specialist to lead packaging design, development, and maintenance for our products, ensuring functionality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with product development, marketing, and production teams; conduct material and supplier research; coordinate with vendors; and support R&D tests, documentation, and packaging performance throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in packaging or related field.
• 1–2 years experience in packaging development or related role in beauty industry.
• Experience in packaging design to create functional and brand-aligned packaging.
• Experience in R&D to test materials and evaluate packaging performance.
• Attention to detail and knowledge of packaging materials, processes, and standards.
• Cosmetics packaging experience is advantageous.
• Proficiency in English and Indonesian; basic design/technical software helpful.

Responsibilities

• Design packaging concepts in collaboration with product development, marketing, and production teams.
• Research materials and suppliers for packaging solutions.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure quality and timely delivery.
• Support R&D activities related to packaging performance, including tests and evaluations.
• Document specifications and standards for packaging.

Job description

• The Packaging Development & Product Specialist role is a full-time, on-site position based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
• This role is responsible for developing, improving, and maintaining packaging solutions for SASC products, ensuring they meet functional, aesthetic, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Daily tasks include collaborating with product development, marketing, and production teams to design packaging concepts, conducting material and supplier research, and coordinating with vendors to ensure quality and timely delivery.
• The role involves supporting R&D activities related to packaging performance, conducting tests and evaluations, and documenting specifications and standards.
• The Packaging Development Staff also assists in project planning, tracking timelines, and resolving packaging-related issues throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Product Design, Pharmacy, or a related field.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in Packaging Development, Product Development, or a related role in beauty industry.
• Candidates should possess skills in Packaging Design to create functional, attractive, and brand-aligned packaging solutions.
• Candidates should possess skills in Research and Development (R&D) to test materials, evaluate packaging performance, and support continuous improvement.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and familiarity with packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and quality standards are beneficial.
• Experience in cosmetics packaging and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external suppliers is advantageous.
• Good communication skills in English and Indonesian and proficiency with basic design or technical software will be an added benefit.
