Job summary

Banner Health in Tucson, AZ is seeking an Orthopedic Technologist to assist providers in delivering orthopedic care, including applying casts, measuring and fitting braces, and caring for wounds. You will work under physicians, grow professionally, and join a team at Banner University Medical Center Tucson with a Level 1 Trauma designation.

Hours are Monday–Friday, 7:30am–5:30pm, with travel between facilities.

Qualifications

• Must hold ROT Certification from ASOP or OTC from NBCOT or ATC from BOC before hire.
• Uncertified candidates may be considered if they obtain ROT/OTC/ATC within six months of hire.
• Current BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Applies, adjusts and removes casts, splints, and immobilization devices.
• Changes dressings and cares for wounds; measures and fits braces and other orthopedic devices.
• Communicates care instructions to patients for pre- and post-operative care.
• Documents information in patient records accurately and obtains signatures.
• Orders, tracks and maintains inventory; replenishes supplies in exam rooms.
• Maintains clean environment; performs basic equipment maintenance and coordinates repairs.
