Job summary

PT Karya Putra Sangkuriang is seeking a skilled CNC Turning Operator to run CNC lathe machines, read drawings, set up tooling, and adjust parameters to meet tight tolerances.

You will inspect results with precision gauges, troubleshoot issues, and maintain equipment while supporting a productive, quality-driven team.

Qualifications

• SMK Teknik Mesin / Manufaktur or equivalent qualification.
• 3-5 years experience as CNC Bubut (CNC Lathe) Operator.
• Expert in CNC Lathe machine operation.
• Able to read and understand mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC Bubut (CNC Lathe) machines according to SOP.
• Perform machine setting, tool setup, offset configuration, and machining parameter adjustment.
• Read technical drawings and determine appropriate machining methods.
• Ensure product dimensions and quality conform to drawing specifications.
• Inspect machining results using precision measurement tools.
• Make adjustments when dimensional deviations occur.
• Maintain machine condition, tooling, and work area.
• Assist in improving efficiency and quality of production processes.
• Perform basic troubleshooting on machines and machining processes.
• Ensure production targets are met while maintaining quality standards.

This is a CNC Turning Operator role responsible for operating CNC Lathe machines according to standard operating procedures, performing machine setup, tool configuration, and machining parameter adjustments. The role involves reading technical drawings, determining appropriate machining methods, ensuring product dimensions and quality meet specifications, and troubleshooting machining processes.

Key responsibilities

Operate CNC Bubut (CNC Lathe) machines according to SOP

Perform machine setting, tool setup, offset configuration, and machining parameter adjustment

Ensure product dimensions and quality conform to drawing specifications

About you

Minimum SMK Teknik Mesin / Manufaktur (Technical Vocational School in Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing) or equivalent qualification

Minimum 3-5 years experience as a CNC Bubut (CNC Lathe) Operator

Expert in CNC Lathe machine operation

Able to read and understand mechanical drawings

Proficient in using precision measurement tools: Micrometer, Caliper, Bore Gauge, Height Gauge, etc.

Understanding of G-Code & M-Code and able to perform program setup

Able to perform tool setting, offset configuration, work coordinate setup, and cutting parameter adjustment

Understanding of insert/tooling selection, cutting speed, feed rate, and depth of cut

Able to perform CNC Lathe machine setup and troubleshooting

Understanding of quality control processes and machining result inspection

Disciplined, detail-oriented, responsible, and able to work independently and in teams

Willing to work shift work if required
