Job summary

Halliburton is seeking entry-level personnel to learn and assist in oil well operations, including drilling fluids, solids control, and equipment handling. You will work under supervision to support rigging-up/down, operate shakers and centrifuges, and help with safety and environmental procedures on site.

The role requires basic reading, writing and math skills, plus the ability to communicate effectively with team members.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Basic computer skills are preferred.
• This position requires the ability to effectively communicate with others, perform basic mathematical calculations, and basic reading comprehension and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn basic oil well operations under supervision, including drilling fluids and solids control operations.
• Assist in rigging-up and rigging-down of service equipment and operate shale shakers, centrifuges, cuttings handling, and related systems.
• Communicate effectively with team members and perform basic math calculations as part of daily tasks.
• Use basic computer skills when required to support operations and reporting.
• Support safety, environmental, and quality procedures in line with HSE guidelines.

Job Duties

• Under strict supervision, learns basic oil well operations including but not limited to drilling fluids and solids control operations.
• Assist in the rigging-up and rigging-down of service equipment, and in the operation of some or all of the following equipment: shale shakers and screen changes, centrifuges, cuttings handling and slurrification systems, and vacuum and pressure washing systems.
• This position requires the ability to effectively communicate with others, perform basic mathematical calculations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, and basic reading comprehension and writing skills.
• Basic computer skills are preferred.
• This position promotes and takes an active part in the quality improvement process, promotes safety awareness and environmental consciousness, complies with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations, and ensures compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
