Job summary

PT Suri Tani Pemuka (JAPFA GROUP) seeks an Operational Technology (OT) Engineering Specialist to develop and maintain automation, PLC systems, SCADA, and cybersecurity to improve reliability and production performance across the organization.

You will lead OT projects, plan system architecture, and drive continuous improvement across Indonesia operations, with travel across company sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years in Operational Technology (OT), industrial automation or control systems.
• Hands-on PLC programming experience (Siemens, Mitsubishi).
• Strong understanding of industrial machinery and manufacturing processes.
• Fluent in English; Mandarin is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive OT strategies to support reliability, efficiency, and digital transformation.
• Develop system planning and architecture for OT solutions including electrical systems, instrumentation, automation, SCADA, industrial networking, and cybersecurity.
• Establish and maintain standards, procedures, and governance for OT systems and infrastructure.
• Plan, coordinate, and lead OT projects from design through commissioning and handover.
• Analyze operational challenges and determine technology solutions to improve performance and reliability.
• Execute improvement programs focused on automation, integration, digitalization, and optimization.
• Provide technical coaching and knowledge transfer to internal teams and stakeholders.
• Initiate and lead continuous improvement and innovation projects for OT system effectiveness and security.

Operational Technology (OT) Engineering Specialist

Exciting opportunity for a driven OT Engineering Specialist to join the dynamic team at PT Suri Tani Pemuka (JAPFA GROUP), a leading company in the aquaculture industry. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining industrial automation and control systems, managing PLC and OT infrastructure, supporting manufacturing operations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, system reliability, and production performance across the organization.

What You'll Be Doing

Develop and drive Operational Technology (OT) strategies and initiatives to support operational reliability, efficiency, and digital transformation objectives.

Develop system planning and architecture for OT solutions, including electrical systems, instrumentation, automation, SCADA, industrial networking, and cybersecurity.

Establish and maintain standards, procedures, and governance for OT systems and infrastructure.

Plan, coordinate, and lead OT projects from design, implementation, and commissioning through to system handover.

Analyze operational and technical challenges and determine appropriate technology solutions to improve system performance and reliability.

Develop and execute improvement programs focused on automation, system integration, digitalization, and operational optimization.

Conduct technical coaching, knowledge transfer, and competency development activities for internal teams and stakeholders.

Initiate and lead continuous improvement and innovation projects to enhance OT system effectiveness, efficiency, and security.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering

Minimum 5 years of experience in Operational Technology (OT), industrial automation, or control system environments.

Strong understanding of industrial automation and control systems.

Hands‑on experience with PLC programming and industrial automation systems (e.g., Siemens, Mitsubishi).

Strong understanding of industrial machinery, manufacturing processes, and equipment operation.

Fluent in English and Mandarin proficiency will be a strong advantage.

Strong leadership, planning, communication, analytical thinking, and conceptual thinking capabilities.

Willingness to travel extensively and be placed across company operations in Indonesia.
