Job summary

Holland America Line is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the Finance Department aboard the ship. The role includes clerical duties for the Finance Manager, Inventory Accountant, and Finance Specialist, with emphasis on daily reporting, credit card processing, gift orders, and guest onboard statements.

Responsibilities extend to assisting with inventory counts, end of voyage reports, and guest satisfaction reporting, ensuring timely and accurate financial records in a shipboard

Qualifications

• Requires college or university degree in Administration/Accounting, Hospitality, or related field.
• Marlins score of 85 and above.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Hospitality Industry in financial administrative positions.
• Strong analytical and management skills.
• Strong communication skills including written and verbal English.
• Working knowledge of computers including Windows, Excel, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Credit Card processing reporting including initial reconciliation.
• Gift Order processing including initial reconciliation.
• Create and daily update food cost reports.
• Maintain accurate administration of internal transaction documents.
• Assist on Loading Days with Vendor Invoice processing.
• Submit Daily Revenue Report comparing actual revenue against budgeted targets.
• Assist Inventory Accountant with periodic inventory checks.
• Complete End of Voyage Bar counts and reporting.
