Job summary

The Software Practice Pte Ltd is seeking a QA Engineer to join our Bandung team for an onsite role. You will ensure software quality through manual testing, design test plans, and coordinate defect tracking across the SDLC with developers and clients.

You should have strong English communication, at least 1 year in QA or related roles, and be based in Bandung or willing to relocate; experience with Jira and REST APIs is a plus for enterprise projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 1 year of experience in Software Quality Assurance, Application Support, Software Engineering, or similar technical roles.
Strong experience in manual testing, including test planning, test case design, execution, and defect management.
Experience with software defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
Experience performing regression testing and validating software fixes.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

Review business requirements, functional specifications, and technical design documents to ensure completeness and testability.
Create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
Perform manual testing for web and mobile applications.
Execute functional, integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing.
Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using issue-tracking tools.
Validate bug fixes through regression testing before production release.
Prepare and maintain testing documentation, user guides, release notes, operational procedures, and support documentation.
Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues reported by users and clients.
Monitor production systems and provide timely application support to minimize service disruptions.
Perform root cause analysis for production incidents and recommend preventive solutions.
Coordinate application deployments, production releases, hotfixes, and system maintenance activities.
Collaborate closely with software engineers, business analysts, project managers, DevOps engineers, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
Participate throughout the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering through deployment and post-production support.
