Job summary

MatchaTalent is seeking an Overseas Compliance Specialist to support corporate compliance, regulatory alignment, and legal risk management for Indonesian operations. The role is on-site in South Jakarta and reports to the Head of Compliance.

You will act as a bridge between local business teams, regulators, external counsel, and global stakeholders, performing contract reviews, risk analyses, and incident handling while strengthening compliance awareness across the organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Law (S1 Hukum) from a reputable Indonesian university.
• Valid legal practicing qualification or Bar Admission (PERADI or equivalent).
• Minimum 3+ years in compliance, governance, regulatory affairs, or legal practice in multinational settings.
• International compliance certifications such as CAMS, CFCS, CIPP/E, CIPM, or ICA preferred.
• Fluent English (mandatory); Mandarin Chinese preferred for global HQ reporting.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain communication with regulatory authorities, external counsel, industry associations, and key stakeholders.
• Monitor regulatory developments and identify compliance risks affecting local operations.
• Develop and maintain compliance risk maps and recommend mitigation measures to management.
• Conduct legal and compliance reviews of contracts, partnership agreements, business plans, and sensitive documents.
• Identify compliance exposure and provide recommendations to business teams.
• Lead resolution of compliance incidents with proper documentation, escalation, and follow-up.
• Monitor compliance implementation across units and ensure alignment with policies and Indonesian regulations.
• Develop and deliver internal compliance training programs to strengthen regulatory awareness.
• Support localization of global compliance policies for Indonesian operations.
• Prepare compliance reports, risk assessments, regulatory analyses, and management updates for senior management and global stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure business initiatives comply with regulations while supporting commercial objectives.
