Qualifications

• Experience reading and interpreting shipbuilding drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong ability to develop material, labor, subcontractor, and equipment cost estimates.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with PowerPoint is a plus.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates and quotations for newbuilding ship projects from specs, drawings, scope of work, and requirements.
• Review shipbuilding drawings, specifications, BOQ/BOM, and documentation to identify materials, equipment, manpower, and services.
• Develop detailed estimates covering materials, equipment, labor, subcontractors, fabrication, installation, testing, commissioning, and other costs.
• Prepare and maintain BOQ, BOM, and cost breakdowns for newbuilding projects.
• Request, collect, and evaluate quotations from vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Production, Project Management, and Commercial teams to ensure accuracy and completeness.
