Job summary

CBRE is hiring a Network Operations Technician to support and oversee critical network infrastructure across multiple Data Center locations. You will ensure reliability, handle incident response, and coordinate with vendors and engineers to maintain service availability.

The role requires hands-on experience with enterprise networks, fiber optic infrastructure, and experience traveling between sites. Travel and after-hours support may be required in a mission-critical environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 4-7 years of experience in network operations, telecommunications, or data center environments.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise networks and fiber optic infrastructure.
• Experience with network troubleshooting, switching, routing, and physical layer issues.
• Experience supervising vendors and telecom projects.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day network operations across Data Center sites.
• Provide onsite support for network incidents, maintenance activities, and emergency response situations.
• Travel between Data Centers to oversee operational activities, projects, and vendor works.
• Troubleshoot network, connectivity, hardware, and optical fiber issues to minimize service disruptions.
• Support network change management activities, including switch upgrades, testing, and implementation.
• Coordinate with network engineers to diagnose faults, execute recovery actions, and maintain service availability.
• Supervise vendors during telecommunications deployments, ISP commissioning, fiber installations, and network projects.
• Monitor project schedules, risks, milestones, and vendor performance, ensuring work is completed according to scope and standards.
• Conduct network infrastructure inspections and validate compliance with operational and technical requirements.
• Oversee activities within critical network environments and live data halls.
• Support site surveys, project planning, documentation, and reporting requirements.
• Ensure compliance with network SOPs, MOPs, safety standards, and client operational procedures.
• Support network decommissioning activities and ensure safe execution of work.
• Collaborate with clients, internal stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams to support operational and project objectives.
• Prepare and maintain accurate incident, maintenance, and project status reports.

• Willingness to travel between Data Center locations and support after-hours maintenance or emergency activities when required.
