Job summary

Jhpiego seeks an MNH Training and Education Specialist – National Level in Indonesia to support UNFPA-funded efforts, improving maternal and newborn health by strengthening health worker competencies, education, and quality of care.

The role collaborates with the Ministry of Health, professional bodies, and academic institutions to develop curricula and learning modules, including e-learning, and to integrate Quality Improvement into training and practice.

Qualifications

• Clinical or health professional background (midwife, physician, nurse, or related).
• Minimum 6 years in maternal and newborn health or health professional education.
• Strong knowledge of MNH programs and Indonesian health/education systems.
• Experience in curriculum and training module development.
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
• Willingness to travel to provinces and districts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and revise MNH curricula and training modules for maternal and neonatal emergency care.
• Coordinate curriculum development with competency mapping and training materials.
• Support development of e-learning, storyboard reviews, and QA until UAT.
• Assist in accreditation, revision, and institutionalization of MNH curricula and learning packages.
• Plan and execute training-of-trainers and capacity-building activities.
• Strengthen clinical learning environments, including simulation and skills labs.
• Develop preceptors guidelines, assessment tools, and supportive supervision approaches.
• Collaborate with academic institutions and health facilities to promote integration of QA in MNH training.
