Job summary

MatchaTalent is seeking a Mining Project Manager to oversee end-to-end greenfield mining project execution in Konawe, Sulawesi Tenggara, including infrastructure development and production readiness. You will lead planning, scheduling, fleet optimization, and contractor coordination to ensure safety, budget, and timelines while delivering site infrastructure and production milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering is required.
• Valid POP or POM mining certification is mandatory.
• 8–10 years of experience in mining operations with 3–5 years in managerial roles.
• Proven experience managing large-scale mining operations in contractor-based environments.
• Experience with greenfield mining projects from land development to production and logistics readiness.
• Experience in minerals mining (nickel, copper, gold, etc.) is preferred.
• Strong understanding of mining methods, pit development, planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Adequate English proficiency for technical communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of greenfield mining projects including hauling roads and jetty development.
• Manage day-to-day mining operations: production scheduling, pit development, fleet utilization, manpower coordination.
• Develop fleet matching strategies and operating budgets to maximize productivity and cost efficiency.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineering teams, logistics, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor performance, milestones, and production progress to align with timelines and business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards, regulations, and internal procedures.
• Prepare operational and financial reports on production, budgeting, and site productivity.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to operations and contractor management.
