Job summary

PT Garda Tujuh Buana Tbk is seeking a Senior Mining Supervisor to oversee open-pit mining activities in Kalimantan Utara. You will lead field teams, drive production targets, and ensure strict safety and environmental compliance.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in mining with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, proven leadership, and strong knowledge of mine planning and equipment. Excellent decision-making and communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of mining experience, with ≥2 years in supervision.
• Proven track record in achieving production targets with high safety.
• Experience managing employees and mining contractors.
• Certifications such as POP, POM are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop daily, weekly, and monthly operational plans based on production targets.
• Oversee field teams during coal excavation, loading, and hauling operations.
• Ensure compliance with OHS and environmental standards in all activities.
• Manage heavy equipment availability and maintain optimal operating conditions.
• Evaluate production performance and prepare reports for management.

Job description

Work Plan Preparation : Developing daily, weekly, and monthly operational plans based on production targets and directives from senior management;

Operational Supervision : Overseeing the performance of field teams—including supervisors, foremen, and operators—during the coal excavation, loading, and hauling processes;

Safety and Environment (HSE) : Ensuring all mining activities comply with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations and environmental management standards;

Heavy Equipment Management : Controlling the usage and availability of heavy equipment to ensure efficiency and maintain operational condition;

Evaluation and Reporting : Periodically evaluating production achievements, addressing issues in the pit area (open-pit mine), and preparing reports for management

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.

5+ years of mining experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/management role.

Proven track record in achieving production targets while maintaining high safety standards.

Strong knowledge of mining equipment, production processes, mine planning, and operational KPIs.

Experience managing employees and mining contractors.

Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Candidates holding POP, POM, or other relevant mining certifications will be an advantage.
