Job summary

PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk. in Jakarta seeks a Legal Operation Officer to oversee legal operations for mining activities and ensure regulatory compliance across the business.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor of Law with 1–3 years of experience in a law firm or in-house counsel, and possesses strong knowledge of Indonesian mining laws, plus excellent communication and negotiation skills. Fresh graduates with internship experience are welcome.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law.
• 1–3 years of experience with a law firm and/or in-house counsel.
• Fresh graduates welcome with internship experience in a law firm a plus.
• Strong understanding of Indonesian laws and regulations related to mining operations.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks under deadline.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all legal operations for the company.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in relation to company operations.
• Conduct legal research and provide advice to management on legal issues.
• Review and update company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
• Monitor and track legal expenses and provide cost-effective solutions.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure legal compliance in all aspects of the business.
• Keep up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations that may affect the company's operations.
