Job summary

PT Kaltim Prima Coal is seeking a Mining Engineer to maintain open-pit mining efficiency at its East Kalimantan operations. You will oversee pit-to-port activities, evaluating daily to monthly sequences, and ensure accurate ROM management and coal blending.

The role requires strong analytical and leadership skills, with exposure to digital tools like Power BI and MINEX. You will coordinate with contractors, ensure safety and environmental compliance, and be based permanently at the site in East

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining, Civil, or Geological Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum of three years of hands-on experience in open-pit coal mining operations.
• Experience in contractor performance management in open-pit environments is desirable.
• Experience with digital transformation tools, Power BI, data analytics, automation, or AI in mining.
• Proficiency in mining design software with a preference for MINEX (pit/dump modeling, mine scheduling).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Willingness to be permanently stationed at the East Kalimantan operating site with HSES alignment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee pit-to-port operations, ensuring alignment with master engineering targets.
• Conduct field inspections of land clearing, topsoil, waste placement, and haulage routes.
• Review contractor methodologies, audit equipment use, control costs, ensure contract terms compliance.
• Monitor coal flow from pit to crushing facilities and port terminals (ROM management).
• Provide technical recommendations to streamline production and reduce costs.
• Support safety and environmental initiatives across assigned areas.
