Job summary

PetroSea is seeking a strategic Cost Controller for mining operations to forecast and manage operating and capital budgets. You will monitor cost performance, develop forecasts and scenario analyses, and drive cost efficiency to meet production targets at optimum cost.

The role requires at least 10 years in mining or related industries, strong understanding of cost structure, budgeting and ERP systems (SAP), with advanced Excel and Power BI skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Accounting, Finance or Economics.
• Master's Degree or MBA is an advantage.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in mining, heavy equipment or related industries.
• ERP systems (SAP preferred), advanced Excel and Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual OPEX and CAPEX budgeting for mining operations.
• Monitor and control expenditure against approved budgets and forecasts.
• Develop periodic forecasts, cost projections and scenario analyses.
• Analyse cost performance and unit costs and provide management with dashboards.
• Support tenders and bids through cost estimation, modelling and pricing validation.
• Drive cost efficiency and financial discipline through savings initiatives and internal controls.
