Job summary

PT Thuan Hai Indonesia is seeking an experienced Boiler Mechanic to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot boiler systems and related equipment in Bandung. The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or power plant engineering and 2–3 years of hands-on boiler experience.

English communication skills, ability to read P&ID diagrams, and knowledge of safety regulations are required. Willingness to work shifts and standby for emergencies is expected.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of hands-on experience as Boiler Mechanic/Technician.
• Good English communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, P&ID diagrams, and equipment manuals.
• Knowledge of boiler safety standards and regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspection, preventive maintenance, and repair of boiler units and auxiliary equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues on boiler systems to minimize downtime.
• Monitor boiler performance and report abnormalities to the Supervisor/Engineer.
• Ensure compliance with K3 (Occupational Health & Safety) standards during maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with Operations for scheduled shutdowns and maintenance planning.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, logbooks and spare parts inventory.
• Support installation and commissioning of new boiler equipment when required.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with SOPs and safety regulations.

PT Thuan Hai Indonesia is looking for an experienced and reliable Boiler Mechanic to join our team in Marga Asih, Bandung, responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of boiler systems and related mechanical equipment.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Mechanical Engineering, Power Plant Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience as a Boiler Mechanic/Technician, preferably in power plant, manufacturing, or industrial boiler operations.
Good English communication skills, both spoken and written.
Strong understanding of boiler systems, including water tube/fire tube boilers, burners, valves, piping, and pressure vessels.
Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of boiler mechanical components (pumps, fans, feedwater systems, soot blowers, etc.).
Able to read and interpret technical drawings, P&ID diagrams, and equipment manuals.
Familiar with welding, fabrication, and basic machining is an advantage.
Knowledge of boiler safety standards and regulations (K3, PUBT/Pesawat Uap dan Bejana Tekan) is a plus.
Certification in Boiler Operation/Maintenance (SIO/K3 Ketel Uap) is preferred or willing to be certified.
Willing to work in shifts and be on standby for emergency maintenance calls.
High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, safety-conscious, and able to work both independently and in a team.
