Job summary

YAYASAN PENDIDIKAN SEDAYA BINTANG is seeking a Mandarin-speaking Moral Education teacher for its integrated school in Jakarta. You will plan and deliver lessons focused on ethics, character building and values in Mandarin, aligned with the school curriculum.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree and strong Mandarin proficiency, with passion for teaching young learners aged 3–12. Fresh grads with Mandarin skills are welcome; good Bahasa Indonesia and English are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Education, Mandarin Language, Mandarin Education, Psychology, or related field.
• Proficient in spoken and written Mandarin.
• Able to deliver lessons effectively in Mandarin.
• Good understanding of Moral Education, Character Building, Ethics and Values Education.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passionate about education and working with children.
• Patient, responsible, creative, adaptable and collaborative.
• Good command of Bahasa Indonesia and English is an advantage.
• Teaching experience is an advantage.
• Experience teaching 3–12 year olds is an advantage.
• Familiarity with IB or International School approaches is an advantage.
• Fresh graduates with strong Mandarin proficiency are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Moral Education lessons in accordance with the school's curriculum and programs.
• Teach moral education, character building, values, ethics, and positive character development in Mandarin.
• Develop lesson plans, materials, assignments and engaging activities.
• Create an active, positive and age-appropriate learning environment.
• Assess and evaluate students' academic progress and character development.
• Provide constructive feedback and follow up on learning.
• Collaborate with teachers to develop and improve learning programs.
• Communicate with parents regarding students' development when required.
• Participate in school activities, events and character development initiatives.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the school.
