Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Mandarin (spoken and written) for grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, and conversation.
• Experience in classroom teaching, lesson planning, assessment, and classroom management.
• Ability to create engaging materials, using educational technology, and adapting teaching strategies to learning styles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with students, colleagues and parents in a multicultural environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Chinese Language, Linguistics, or related field; teaching certification or training is an advantage.

Role Description

The Mandarin Language Teacher is a full-time, on-site role based at Witama School in Pekanbaru. The teacher will plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Mandarin language lessons for students across appropriate grade levels, using age-appropriate teaching methods and resources. Daily responsibilities include developing lesson plans, assessing student progress, providing feedback, maintaining accurate records, and supporting students' language acquisition and cultural understanding. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, participate in school events and meetings, communicate regularly with parents or guardians as needed, and contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learning needs.
