Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Translator/Interpreter to support project communications in Indonesia. The role involves translating documents, reports, and meetings between Mandarin-speaking stakeholders, English-speaking teams, and Bahasa Indonesia participants.

The successful candidate will work on-site at project locations, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and timely delivery of translations in a fast-paced real estate, infrastructure, or data center project environment.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Mandarin and English; Bahasa Indonesia proficiency is required.
• Proven experience as Translator or Interpreter, preferably in construction, engineering, infrastructure, or data center projects.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to understand and translate technical terminology related to construction and project management.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced project environment and on-site setting.
• Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Translate project-related documents, reports, correspondence, presentations, and technical materials.
• Support communication between international stakeholders, contractors, consultants, and project teams.
• Attend project meetings and prepare translation notes when required.
• Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of all translated materials.
• Assist the project management team in coordinating communication with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
• Support day-to-day administrative and coordination tasks related to project communication.

• Provide accurate verbal interpretation between Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Indonesia during meetings, site visits, workshops, and project discussions.
• Translate project-related documents, reports, correspondence, presentations, and technical materials.
• Support communication between international stakeholders, contractors, consultants, and project teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Chinese contractors, consultants, or multinational project teams.
• Background in construction, engineering, project management, or data center projects.
• HSK certification or equivalent Mandarin language qualification is an advantage.
