Job summary

PT Makmur Lestari Primatama (MLP) seeks a senior legal professional to oversee legal and public relations aspects for its mining operations. The role focuses on providing strategic legal advice, drafting and negotiating key agreements, and managing litigation while ensuring regulatory compliance and constructive public engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law.
• Minimum 8 years of experience.
• Strong understanding of corporate law, contract law, mining regulations, environmental regulations, and employment regulations in Indonesia.
• Proven experience leading a legal team and collaborating with various departments.

Manager Legal and Public Relation (Mining)

Provide legal and business advice and consultation to management on all legal matters, including but not limited to drafting, reviewing and negotiating management agreements, investment agreements, distribution agreements, fee letters and fund documents. Work in collaboration with senior management at Head Office, local panel law firm partners in Indonesia and government. Responsible for managing litigation and other legal processes, working closely with the wider group team and maintaining good working relationships. Demonstrate a good understanding of legal knowledge and expertise in the mining and corporate business environment as well as expertise in forestry and environmental law and expertise in mining land clearance and added value in transportation expertise. Provide advice, assistance and support in creating structures and environments for compliance and law and support the enforcement of comprehensive compliance policies applicable across various departments. Develop external and internal corporate communication strategies. Maintain and enhance the company's positive image in public. Build and maintain good relationships with media, stakeholders, government, and communities.

About you

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law

Minimum 8 years of experience

Strong understanding of corporate law, contract law, mining regulations, environmental regulations, and employment regulations in Indonesia

Proven experience and strong understanding in general and specific corporate matters

Experience leading a legal team and collaborating with various departments within the company

Strong leadership capability in managing teams

Ability to negotiate with third parties, such as contractors, business partners, and government parties

Good ability in contract negotiation and dispute resolution with business partners, government, and other third parties
