Job summary

PetroSea is seeking a maintenance engineer in Jakarta to monitor and coordinate daily maintenance activities, ensuring safe, compliant execution and high equipment availability. The role involves reporting, planning support, and advancing preventive measures across departments.

Qualified candidates should have at least 1 year in mechanical engineering, relevant trade qualifications, and a good grasp of maintenance standards.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in Mechanical Engineering
• Qualifications and certificates in field of trade/required duties
• Meets maintenance standars to help achieve high mechanical availability
• Broad knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance
• Good understanding of mechanical availability and repair/maintenance methods
• Willing to work flexible hours to accommodate job requirements
• Fluent in English (spoken and written) is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Monitor and coordinate maintenance daily activities to ensure maintenance work instructions are performed technically correct and in a safe efficient manner
• Assist in development and preventative measures for repeat or ongoing failure trends within relevant department areas, to ensure activities conform with company standards and policies
• Responsible for compliance to weekly and monthly planning, including scheduled inspections, relating to all maintenance tasks set out daily to help achieve long term maintenance plans and high equipment availability
• Prepare and submit relevant reporting tasks in a timely manner, e.g., review and ensure correct details on work orders and inspection checklists and submit to planners for closing, ensure backlog parts are ordered
• Monitor and communicate all maintenance work instructions to direct subordinates in a clear and defined manner
• Review and analyse plant failures by monitoring trends and report pending equipment failures for correct planning into backlog, advising immediately if equipment is unsafe to operate or high potential of major failure
• Maintain and implement SHE programs and responsibilities (identify, mitigate and monitor SHE risk), including SHE Management System to ensure effectiveness and to confirm execution of responsibilities meet outcomes
