Job summary

Caterpillar Indonesia Batam is seeking a Technical Planning Manager (Machining) to lead the machining team, drive process improvement and capital projects for world-class hydraulic shovels.

You will design tools, optimize layouts, and implement systems to enhance production, with a strong focus on process excellence and customer satisfaction. English proficiency and 5+ years in manufacturing are required.

Qualifications

• Educational background in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years in a similar role, preferably in heavy machinery.
• Experience with machining of large components and processes.
• Fluent English proficiency required.
• Strong GD&T, NC programming, CAD and CAM familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Lead training and development for teams to meet plant objectives.
• Coordinate tool design, layout, manufacturing process, and cost estimating.
• Manage capital projects for process improvement and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee installation of new machines and process changes for efficiency.
