Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal seeks an Associate for the Corporate Transactions Group in Jakarta. You will support buy-side and sell-side engagements, build financial models, and prepare information materials for clients, under senior supervision.

You will collaborate with senior professionals, perform market research, and contribute to strategies and execution across complex deals in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, transaction advisory, investment banking, valuation, or financial consulting
• Strong financial modeling and valuation skills with a solid understanding of corporate finance concepts
• High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with financial databases is an advantage
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a deadline-driven environment
• Professional qualifications (e.g., CFA, CPA, CA, MBA) are an advantage but not required

Responsibilities

• Support transaction execution across buy-side and sell-side engagements, including M&A, joint ventures, and capital market transactions
• Perform detailed financial analysis, valuation modeling (DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions), and scenario analysis
• Prepare transaction materials such as financial models, information memoranda, management presentations, and investor materials
• Assist with due diligence processes, including analysis of financial statements, forecasts, and key value drivers
• Conduct market, industry, and company-specific research to support strategic and financial recommendations
• Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables
• Contribute to the development of insights and recommendations for clients under the guidance of Managers and Directors
