Job summary

PT Chemarome Indonesia seeks a qualified legal professional to independently analyze issues, review facts, assess risks, and provide clear legal recommendations to Management. The role goes beyond routine administration, focusing on corporate governance, contracts, and compliance.

The candidate will handle corporate matters, draft and review agreements, lead internal investigations, and support litigation and non-litigation disputes with a strong emphasis on risk assessment and business impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Law (S.H.).
• Minimum 4 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in-house.
• Strong hands-on experience in corporate matters, contract drafting and advisory.
• Solid understanding of corporate, commercial, contract, civil and employment law.

Responsibilities

• Handle corporate legal matters including documentation, licensing, regulatory, notarial and governance.
• Draft, review, negotiate and maintain commercial agreements, NDAs and other documents.
• Provide practical legal advice and recommendations to Management and internal functions.
• Support investigations arising from operations and manufacturing activities.
• Coordinate internal and external parties and support litigation and dispute handling.

Job description

This role is suitable for a legal professional who can go beyond legal administration. The successful candidate will be expected to independently analyze legal issues, review facts and evidence, identify legal exposure, assess business risks, coordinate with internal and external parties, and provide clear and practical legal recommendations to Management.

Key responsibilities

• Handle corporate legal matters, including corporate documentation, licensing, regulatory matters, notarial matters, and corporate governance requirements.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and maintain commercial agreements, contracts, NDAs, cooperation agreements, vendor/customer agreements, and other legal documents.
• Provide practical legal advice and recommendations to Management and internal business functions.
• Handle legal matters arising from company operational and manufacturing activities.
• Conduct and support internal investigations involving suspected fraud, misconduct, asset loss, irregular transactions, customer/vendor issues, or other potential legal violations.
• Review documents, transaction records, correspondence, evidence, and other relevant information during investigations.
• Conduct interviews or fact-finding with relevant parties where necessary.
• Prepare investigation chronology, legal assessment, findings, and recommended actions.
• Handle legal notices, warning letters, demand letters, responses, settlement documents, and other legal correspondence.
• Support litigation and non-litigation dispute handling.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Law (S.H.).
• Minimum 4 years of relevant legal experience, preferably with significant experience in an in-house corporate legal environment.
• Strong hands-on experience in corporate legal matters, contract drafting, contract review, and legal advisory.
• Good understanding of corporate law, commercial law, contract law, civil law, employment law, and basic criminal law.
• Experience handling internal investigations, fraud cases, misconduct cases, or corporate investigations is highly preferred.
• Experience handling litigation and/or non-litigation disputes.
• Able to independently review a case, establish facts and chronology, identify legal exposure, and recommend appropriate legal actions.
• Able to assess business processes from a legal and risk management perspective.
• Strong analytical, investigative, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong legal drafting and legal writing skills.
