Funding Societies | Modalku, the leading SME digital finance platform in Southeast Asia, seeks a Legal Officer to join our Surabaya office. You will review borrower documents for authority, draft agreements, and coordinate with notaries on security matters, ensuring risk is managed effectively.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience as legal officer/associate in financial services institution or bank.
• Good knowledge of secured lending and collateral engagement.
• Ability to work in a dynamic fast-paced team environment.
• Capable of working as both individual or a team player.
• Self-motivated, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
• Able to multitask and stay meticulously organized.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal reviews of borrower documentation to ensure authority and capacity of signatories.
• Prepare, draft, and review letters, agreements, and other related legal documents.
• Propose recommendations to resolve legal issues and/or mitigate legal risks.
• Coordinate with notaries regarding signing schedules, registration of security/collateral, and related matters.
