Job summary

PT Talenta Eksekutif Asia is seeking a seasoned Legal Counsel to provide strategic legal advisory and risk management across our Indonesian operations, especially in consumer and cloud units. You will draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial contracts while ensuring compliance with Indonesian corporate, telecom, ITE, and PDP laws in a fast-paced multinational setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Law is mandatory.
• Graduates from leading Indonesian universities are highly preferred.
• Advocate License (PERADI) is a strong advantage.
• Minimum 5–8 years of professional legal experience with current exposure at Counsel or equivalent level.
• Experience from top-tier law firms and in-house legal environments within multinational technology or telecommunications companies is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of Indonesian Corporate Law, Contract Law, Telecommunications Law, ITE Law, PDP, IP rights, dispute resolution, and related regulatory frameworks.
• Hands-on experience managing OSS licensing and regulatory processes within Indonesian government systems.
• Familiarity with cloud computing, ICT, telecommunications, or consumer electronics businesses.
• Strong drafting, contract negotiation, legal risk management, and commercial advisory skills.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, compliant in multinational settings.
• Fluent in spoken and written English is mandatory.

Job Role:

The Legal Counsel is responsible for providing strategic legal advisory and risk management support across the company's business operations in Indonesia, particularly within consumer and cloud business units. This role focuses on contract management, regulatory compliance, licensing, legal risk mitigation, and business advisory support, while ensuring alignment with Indonesian corporate, telecommunications, technology, and data protection regulations within a fast-paced multinational environment.

• Ensure company operations comply with Indonesian corporate law, telecommunications regulations, ITE regulations, and Personal Data Protection (PDP) requirements.
• Identify legal risks across business activities and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with customers, external stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and internal departments to resolve legal and compliance matters.
• Conduct legal research related to technology, telecommunications, corporate, and commercial law developments.

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Law is mandatory.
• Graduates from leading Indonesian universities such as UI, UGM, UNDIP, UNPAD, Atmajaya, or UNPAR are highly preferred.
• Advocate License (PERADI) is a strong advantage.
• Minimum 5–8 years of professional legal experience with current exposure at Counsel or equivalent level.
• Combination of experience from top-tier law firms and in-house legal environments within multinational technology or telecommunications companies is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of Indonesian Corporate Law, Contract Law, Telecommunications Law, ITE Law, Personal Data Protection (PDP), Intellectual Property Rights, dispute resolution, and related regulatory frameworks.
