Job Role:

The Legal Counsel is responsible for providing strategic legal advisory and risk management support across the company's business operations in Indonesia, particularly within consumer and cloud business units. This role focuses on contract management, regulatory compliance, licensing, legal risk mitigation, and business advisory support, while ensuring alignment with Indonesian corporate, telecommunications, technology, and data protection regulations within a fast-paced multinational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive legal advisory support for company operations, particularly across consumer and cloud business units.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage complex commercial contracts, agreements, and legal documentation.
• Support high-value bidding processes, strategic negotiations, and enterprise business transactions.
• Manage regulatory compliance matters including OSS licensing processes and coordination with relevant government authorities.
• Ensure company operations comply with Indonesian corporate law, telecommunications regulations, ITE regulations, and Personal Data Protection (PDP) requirements.
• Identify legal risks across business activities and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with customers, external stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and internal departments to resolve legal and compliance matters.
• Conduct legal research related to technology, telecommunications, corporate, and commercial law developments.
• Deliver legal awareness training and compliance guidance to internal business teams.
• Support dispute management, legal documentation governance, and internal compliance initiatives.

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Law is mandatory.
• Graduates from leading Indonesian universities such as UI, UGM, UNDIP, UNPAD, Atmajaya, or UNPAR are highly preferred.
• Advocate License (PERADI) is a strong advantage.
• Minimum 5–8 years of professional legal experience with current exposure at Counsel or equivalent level.
• Combination of experience from top-tier law firms and in-house legal environments within multinational technology or telecommunications companies is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of Indonesian Corporate Law, Contract Law, Telecommunications Law, ITE Law, Personal Data Protection (PDP), Intellectual Property Rights, dispute resolution, and related regulatory frameworks.
• Hands-on experience managing OSS licensing and regulatory processes within Indonesian government systems.
• Familiarity with cloud computing, ICT, telecommunications, or consumer electronics business environments.
• Strong capability in legal drafting, contract negotiation, legal risk management, and commercial advisory support.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, structured, and highly compliance-driven.
• Able to operate effectively within complex, fast-paced, and multinational business environments.
• Professional fluency in spoken and written English is mandatory.
