PT Uni-Charm Indonesia Tbk is seeking a Legal Generalist to support its legal and commercial activities, based at the Head Office in Jakarta (Sudirman) or Factory 1 in Karawang, with willingness to travel to Karawang Plant. You will conduct due diligence, draft and review agreements, provide risk assessments, and advise on regulatory matters.

The role requires a law degree, 1–7 years experience, English terminology, and the use of AI tools for legal tasks.

Placement: Head Office Jakarta (Sudirman), Willing to Travel (Plant Karawang)

Support the company’s legal and commercial activities by managing agreements, researching applicable regulations, providing legal opinions, and contributing to the handling of legal disputes. This role is based at the Head Office in Jakarta or Factory 1 in Karawang.

Key responsibilities

Conduct legal due diligence on prospective business partners before drafting agreements to assess their legitimacy and validity.

Discuss proposed transactions with relevant departments and identify legal considerations before they are formalised through agreements.

Draft and review agreements requested by relevant departments in relation to the company’s business activities.

Provide recommendations to superiors regarding potential legal risks that may negatively impact the company.

Participate in negotiations with business partners and prospective business partners concerning agreements prepared for relevant departments.

Research applicable regulations, regulatory amendments, and relevant case studies.

Assist in summarising regulations related to legal cases faced by the company.

Participate as a member of the company’s team in legal proceedings conducted outside the company.

Provide recommendations on legal cases, including proposed actions and steps for the company to take.

Maintain clear legal documentation and communicate legal findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Law.

One to seven years of relevant legal experience.

Experience as a Legal Generalist.

Knowledge of English legal terminology.

Experience using AI tools for legal-related tasks.

Strong legal research, contract drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.

Ability to assess legal risks and provide practical recommendations to support business decisions.
