Job summary

GE Vernova in Bandung is offering a full-time Lean Intern program that provides hands-on exposure to Lean Manufacturing, process analysis, time studies, and continuous improvement projects within a manufacturing setting.

You will work closely with the Lean team, observe shop-floor processes, and contribute to waste identification and Kaizen activities while developing practical skills in data collection, reporting, and collaboration with operators and engineers.

Qualifications

• Active undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Strong interest in Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, or Continuous Improvement.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Available to do fulltime internship minimum 6-month internship.
• Willing to be based in Bandung for the duration of the internship.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing / shop-floor environment.
• Good analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Observe shop-floor processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and propose improvement ideas/projects to improve productivity, quality, safety, or process flow.
• Support the execution and follow-up of improvement projects.
• Conduct data collection, basic analysis, and time studies to support improvement initiatives.
• Help identify waste and inefficiencies using Lean principles.
• Assist with Lean activities such as 5S, Visual Management, and Kaizen.
• Prepare reports, charts, and presentations using Excel and PowerPoint.
• Document improvement projects, track progress, and summarize results.
• Work with operators, supervisors, engineers, and other team members to support continuous improvement activities.
• Perform other Lean / Continuous Improvement tasks as assigned.

Preferred Technical Skills

• Basic understanding of Lean concepts such as 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and 7 Wastes.

• Basic CAD knowledge is a plus
