Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking an undergraduate engineering intern to support the Lean team in identifying and implementing process improvements across safety, quality, delivery, cost and productivity at our Bandung site.

You will gain hands-on experience in Lean Manufacturing, process analysis, time study, waste identification and continuous improvement activities, including 5S, Visual Management and Kaizen, with data collection and reporting using Excel and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• Active undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Strong interest in Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, or Continuous Improvement.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Available to do fulltime internship minimum 6-month internship.
• Willing to be based in Bandung for the duration of the internship.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing / shop-floor environment.
• Good analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Observe shop-floor processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and propose improvement ideas/projects to improve productivity, quality, safety, or process flow.
• Support the execution and follow-up of improvement projects.
• Conduct data collection, basic analysis, and time studies to support improvement initiatives.
• Help identify waste and inefficiencies using Lean principles.
• Assist with Lean activities such as 5S, Visual Management, and Kaizen.
• Prepare reports, charts, and presentations using Excel and PowerPoint.
• Document improvement projects, track progress and summarize results.
• Work with operators, supervisors, engineers, and other team members to support continuous improvement activities.
• Perform other Lean / Continuous Improvement tasks as assigned.

Preferred Technical Skills

• Basic understanding of Lean concepts such as 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and 7 Wastes.

• Basic CAD knowledge is a plus
