Job summary

BukuWarung is seeking a Senior Lead Product Manager to own the Payments & Platform strategy across Indonesia and the Philippines. You will build and lead a PM team, set the strategic direction for the tribe, and deliver scalable payment products while collaborating with cross-functional partners.

You will lead critical initiatives as a player-coach, shape product roadmaps, and drive alignment across tribes to scale our payments capabilities in a fast‑growing market.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in product management with 3+ years in payments/fintech.
• Proven track record delivering payment products at scale.
• Experience managing Product Managers.
• Deep understanding of payment systems, APIs, settlement and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with multi-market expansion in Southeast Asia.
• Experience with consumer or SMB products (B2C or B2B2C).
• Strong technical depth to engage with engineering on architecture decisions.
• Data-driven and analytically minded.
• Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication.
• Experience in agile methodologies.

Job description

We are looking for a Senior Lead Product Manager to lead our Payments & Platform tribe. This is a leadership role where you will own the product strategy for our payment products (EDC, QRIS, digital transfers, bill payments).

You will manage a team of 2-3 Product Managers, set the strategic direction for the tribe, and be accountable for delivery across multiple product lines. You will also be a player-coach: leading critical initiatives yourself while developing your team.

This role reports directly to the Head of Product and is critical to our geographic expansion and product scaling goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Own Payments & Platform Strategy: Define and drive the product vision and roadmap for all payment products across Indonesia and Philippines
• Cross-Tribe Alignment: Ensure Payments & Platform roadmap aligns with other tribes
• Manage PM Team: Lead, coach, and develop 3-4 Product Managers including PMs for payments, risk, and regional expansion
• Capability Building: Build a high performing team through elevating product capabilities across the team through mentorship and training
• Performance Management: Set goals, provide feedback, and drive professional growth for direct reports
• Player-Coach: Lead critical initiatives directly, especially for strategic or complex projects
• Stakeholder Management: Partner with Engineering, Business, Operations, and external partners to deliver on roadmap
• Delivery Accountability: Ensure the tribe delivers on committed roadmap with quality and predictability

Qualifications

• 8+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years in payments, fintech, or financial services
• 3+ years of experience managing Product Managers (not just leading projects)
• Proven track record of delivering payment products at scale
• Deep understanding of payment systems, APIs, settlement, and regulatory requirements
• Experience with multi-market expansion, preferably in Southeast Asia
• Experience with consumer or SMB products (B2C or B2B2C)
• Strong technical depth — can engage with engineering on architecture decisions
• Player-coach mindset — able to lead strategy while contributing as IC on critical initiatives
• Track record of building team processes (e.g., planning, estimation, delivery) and developing PMs through coaching and mentorship
• Proven ability to leverage user research — both conducting and synthesizing — to drive product strategy
• Data driven and strong analytical skills
• Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills
• Experience in agile methodologies
