Job summary

Pt Artha Telekomindo in Tangerang, Banten seeks a Lead Process Development Engineer to translate laboratory discoveries into scalable industrial processes. You will lead engineers and chemists, guiding technology transfer and ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.

The role requires a Master’s/Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering with 7+ years in process development, strong reaction engineering knowledge, and proficiency in Aspen Plus or ChemCAD.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in process development, scale-up, and pilot plant operations.
• Proven expertise in chemical reaction engineering, thermodynamics, and mass transfer.
• Strong experience with process simulation software (Aspen Plus, ChemCAD).
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects and technical teams.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Familiarity with GMP is a plus; experience with safety studies (HAZOP) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and optimization of new chemical processes from laboratory scale through pilot and commercial scale.
• Design and manage pilot plant trials, collecting and analyzing data to define critical process parameters and ensure scalability.
• Develop PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment specifications.
• Conduct PHAs and implement necessary safety measures.
• Collaborate with R&D chemists to optimize synthesis conditions.
• Work with manufacturing teams to ensure smooth technology transfer.
• Troubleshoot process issues during scale-up and initial production runs.
• Evaluate and recommend process equipment and technologies.
• Mentor junior process development engineers.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
