Job summary

Prudential plc is seeking a senior Health Analytics professional to lead health analytics initiatives, including claims analysis, morbidity studies, and cost trend evaluations, within the Actuarial department in Jakarta. You will develop models to support claim projections, pricing, and portfolio management, collaborating with actuaries, underwriters, product managers, and data scientists.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Public Health, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in health analytics, preferably within insurance, healthcare, or consulting.
• Strong understanding of the Indonesian health insurance landscape.
• Proficiency in analytical tools such as SQL, Python, R, or SAS.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams and managing stakeholders.
• Leadership and people management capability.
• Able to provide effective coaching and development for team members.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead health analytics initiatives, including claims analysis, morbidity studies, and cost trend evaluations.
• Develop and maintain models to support claim projection, trend identification, pricing, product design, and portfolio management.
• Collaborate with actuaries, underwriters, product managers, and data scientists to enhance health risk assessment and product competitiveness.
• Analyze and interpret health insurance data from Indonesia, including BPJS Kesehatan and private health schemes.
• Monitor regulatory developments and market trends impacting health insurance in Indonesia.
• Present insights and recommendations to senior management and cross-functional teams.
• Managing Health related reporting including loss ratio, combined ratio, claim variance etc.
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to building a data-driven culture within the department.
