Job summary

Vertiv Co is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support on-site electrical systems in data centers. The role emphasizes installing, commissioning, and maintaining UPS and related equipment, with emphasis on troubleshooting and rapid fault resolution.

You will work closely with customers, technicians, and vendors to ensure continuous operation of critical power systems while adhering to safety protocols and company procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3-5+ years of field service engineering experience with UPS and data center electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of UPS, Battery, STS, PDUs, transformers, and power distribution.
• Ability to diagnose RCA and read electrical schematics; perform hands-on repairs.
• Familiarity with data center operations and critical power systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, maintain, troubleshoot UPS systems and related equipment in data centers.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and repair tasks on UPS, PDUs, STS, electrical panels.
• Troubleshoot faults, outages, alarms; provide timely solutions to customers.
• Provide on-site technical support and answer client queries.
• Maintain accurate service documentation and reports.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure seamless operation.
• Ensure safety standards and procedures are followed on-site.
• Assist training of junior engineers and technicians.
