Job summary

LMN VFX in Jakarta seeks an experienced Lead Modeler to guide the modeling team within a fast-paced, collaborative production environment. You will work closely with the Modeling Supervisor and department leads to maintain a consistent visual style and high production quality.

You will oversee production-ready assets with clean topology, efficient UVs, and strong silhouette, review teammates’ work, mentor junior artists, and contribute to pipeline improvements across departments.

Qualifications

• 5–6 years of professional experience in 3D modeling for animation, film, or VFX.
• Strong expertise in subdivision modeling and efficient topology for character and hard-surface assets.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Maya, ZBrush, and Substance Painter.
• Solid artistic foundation with strong understanding of form, proportion, scale, and silhouette.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to translate 2D designs into 3D assets.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior artists.
• Calm under pressure, organized, and committed to meeting production deadlines.
• Understanding of production pipelines and interdepartmental workflows.
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills; able to work independently or with the team.
• Knowledge of rigging, look development, or pipeline scripting.
