Job summary

Pullman Jakarta Central Park is seeking a Laundry Operations Supervisor to lead day-to-day laundry services, ensure guest expectations are met, and supervise staff in a busy hotel environment.

The role requires good English communication and at least 2 years in a similar capacity, with opportunities to grow within the property and Accor network.

Qualifications

• Good oral proficiency in English language.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar capacity.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily briefings, supervise and train staff in day-to-day laundry operations.
• Ensure guest laundry, dry cleaning and pressing is completed according to department standards and procedures.
• Ensure all guest requests are promptly attended to.
• Record guests and staff laundry lists accurately.
• Post bills accurately and in a timely manner.
• Process all departmental paperwork.
• Check laundry machinery and report defects to Engineering.
• Ensure team members use equipment properly and maintain good condition.
• Assist Executive Housekeeper in assessing attendance and performance.

Job Description

Operation

• Conduct daily briefings, supervise and train staff in day-to-day laundry operations
• Ensure guest laundry, dry cleaning and pressing is completed according to department standards and procedures
• Ensure all guest requests are promptly attended to
• Records guests and staff laundry lists accurately
• Post bills accurately and in a timely manner
• Process all departmental paperwork
• Check all laundry machinery to ensure that all filters are cleaned regularly and press covers are in good condition; report any machine defects to Engineering
• Ensure that team members are using laundry equipment properly and keeping them in good condition
• Keep a strict control and record of items sent for laundering by staff members
• Assist Executive Housekeeper in assessing team members’ attendance and performance

Other Responsibilities

• Be well versed in hotel fire & life safety/emergency procedures
• Attend all briefings, meetings and trainings as assigned by management
• Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times
• Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the assigned by the Management
• Establish and maintain effective employee working relationships

Qualifications

• Primary school education
• Good oral proficiency in English language
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar capacity
• Ability to speak other languages and basic understanding of local languages will be an advantage
