Job summary

Agate is seeking a Language Tester Intern – Arabic (AR) in Bandung, Indonesia. This role involves manual testing for localization quality including translated in-game text and UI elements. Candidates should have no prior game testing experience but must possess an Arabic language certification (TOAFL or CEFR) and strong passion for gaming. Job description

Be a part of our team specializing in game quality and localization testing as Language Tester Intern – Arabic (AR). We’re looking for individuals with meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and a passion for games to help ensure our titles deliver a high-quality player experience in every supported language.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual testing to ensure translated in-game text, UI, subtitles, prompts, and system messages are correctly implemented in Arabic
• Verify text readability, spacing, clipping, overlap, truncation, font rendering, placeholder handling, and general localization quality
• Identify, record, and track bugs such as wrong-context text, mixed-language issues, display issues, and linguistic inconsistencies
• Document test execution and results in a structured and systematic manner
• Coordinate with the QA team, production team, and development team for issue clarification and validation of fixes
• Verify that Arabic terminology, register, and player-facing wording are appropriate for the target market

Requirements

• No game testing experience needed
• Good English reading and writing skills. Speaking skills are a plus
• Must hold Arabic language certification:
  – TOAFL (Test of Arabic as a Foreign Language): 500+, Or
  – CEFR For Arabic: B2 equivalent.
• Strong sensitivity to Arabic UI wording, subtitle readability, and context-driven dialogue usage
  Proficient in documentation, ensuring comprehensive and accurate reporting of testing processes and results
• Strong passion for gaming and excellent attention to detail
• Familiarity with game platforms and game genres
• Able to work on-site at Agate HQ in Summarecon Bandung
