Job summary

Japfa is seeking a Laboratory Analyst in the Quality Control / Laboratory team at our Feed Tangerang facility. You will perform and document laboratory analyses on raw materials and animal feed, ensuring accuracy, adherence to SOPs, and timely reporting.

Responsibilities include operating analytical methods, managing samples and inventory, maintaining lab safety with 5S, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across quality control activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Laboratory Analysis
• Perform and prepare raw material and animal feed analyses in accordance with established testing methods and laboratory standards.
• Conduct laboratory testing for the following parameters: MoistureProteinFatFiberCalciumSodiumRing TestReference Test
• Store and manage raw material samples in accordance with applicable procedures.
• Ensure analysis results are accurate, valid, and completed within the established turnaround time.
• Prepare and report laboratory analysis results accurately and in a timely manner.
• Laboratory Safety & Housekeeping
• Implement 5S practices (Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, and Shitsuke) within the laboratory area.
• Comply with and enforce Occupational Health and Safety (OHS/K3) standards and regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, safety, and a comfortable working environment in the laboratory.
• Participate in accident prevention initiatives and identify potential workplace hazards.
• Inventory Management
• Manage inventories of chemical reagents, consumables, and laboratory equipment.
• Monitor stock availability to ensure uninterrupted laboratory testing activities and NIR operations.
• Maintain inventory records and prepare periodic inventory reports.
• Ensure efficient and proper utilization of laboratory materials and equipment in accordance with procedures.
• Documentation & Data Management
• Ensure the availability, completeness, and accuracy of laboratory documents and records.
• Maintain the confidentiality of laboratory data and analysis results.
• Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and supporting documents are updated as required.
• Organize and maintain laboratory data and documentation systematically for easy retrieval and traceability.
• Coordination & Communication
• Coordinate with relevant departments to support quality control activities.
• Maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, supervisors, subordinates, and other stakeholders.
• Uphold the company's positive image through compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Continuous Improvement
• Enhance professional competencies through relevant learning and training activities.
• Provide recommendations and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase laboratory efficiency and effectiveness.
• Support the implementation of quality
• improvement and productivity enhancement programs.
• Other Assigned Duties
• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor within the scope of the position and operational requirements of the company.
