Detailed Job Description:

As an L2 DC Electrical Engineer supporting AMK Groups on a contract basis in Indonesia, you will take full operational, tactical, and technical ownership of data center electrical infrastructure maintenance, power monitoring, and emergency generator testing. Your day-to-day responsibilities include inspecting and servicing high/low voltage switchgear, UPS battery strings, automatic transfer switches (ATS), and backup diesel generator sets, executing scheduled preventive maintenance and electrical load testing, diagnosing power anomalies and circuit overloads across data center white spaces, collaborating closely with facility operations teams and electrical contractors, and communicating directly with technical recruitment leads like Santhosh.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot data center electrical distribution systems, UPS units, diesel generators, and switchgear.
• Ensure 100% electrical availability, fault tolerance, and redundant power path integrity across all data center white spaces.
• Execute routine preventive maintenance (PM), battery impedance testing, generator load bank testing, and thermal scans on electrical panels.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults, circuit breaker trips, power quality anomalies, and grounding issues swiftly.
• Collaborate proactively with electrical utility providers, MEP contractors, and external electrical testing vendors.
• Supervise electrical installation works, power cable pulls, and rack power distribution unit (PDU) deployments for new IT loads.
• Enforce strict electrical safety protocols, lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and NFPA 70E compliance standards.
• Maintain meticulous technical electrical logs, single-line diagrams (SLDs), test reports, and compliance records.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Systems, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 4 to 6 years of progressive professional hands-on experience in electrical engineering and critical facility power distribution.
• Direct, demonstrable operational expertise in data center electrical systems, UPS maintenance, and generator operations.
• Comprehensive working knowledge and practical proficiency in high/low voltage switchgear, power monitoring systems (EPMS), and circuit protection.
• Deep practical experience with electrical test equipment, thermal imaging, and load bank testing.
• Solid practical grasp of electrical safety codes, LOTO procedures, and hazard mitigation.
• Exceptional analytical problem-solving aptitude, electrical troubleshooting capabilities, and professional stakeholder communication skills.
• Mandatory legal work authorization and physical availability for professional contract operations in Indonesia.
