Job summary

Our client in the telecommunications and network infrastructure industry is seeking a Software Developer (.NET) to join their technology team. You will develop, maintain, and enhance web applications using C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, and SQL Server, working across backend and UI layers where required to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of hands-on experience with C#, ASP.NET Core, EF Core, REST APIs, and Git, plus strong OOP and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience developing web applications using C# and ASP.NET.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and the ability to explain design decisions.
• Hands-on experience with .NET Core / .NET 6+ and familiarity with .NET Framework codebases.
• Strong knowledge of ASP.NET Core, MVC, and Web API.
• Good experience with SQL Server, including joins, stored procedures, indexes, and query optimization.
• Hands-on experience with Entity Framework / EF Core in a production environment.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs, including JSON handling and error management.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript and jQuery, particularly when working with existing front-end code.
• Experience using Git, including branching, pull requests, and resolving merge conflicts.
• Experience writing unit tests using xUnit, NUnit, or MSTest.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications using C#, .NET, and ASP.NET Core.
• Build and maintain backend services and REST APIs, including integration with other systems.
• Develop and maintain UI components where required using JavaScript and jQuery.
• Work with SQL Server to develop queries, stored procedures, database changes, and performance improvements.
• Use Entity Framework / EF Core for data access and application development.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application and production issues, including identifying root causes.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to maintaining coding standards and best practices.
• Write and maintain unit tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Participate in Agile development activities, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, estimation, retrospectives, and other team discussions.
• Collaborate with team members to understand requirements, clarify technical issues, and deliver solutions within agreed timelines.
• Contribute to continuous improvements in application performance, development processes, and overall system quality.
