Job summary

LMN VFX is seeking an entry-level, on-site Digital Matte Painter in Jakarta for probation. You will create photorealistic matte paintings and 2.5D/3D extensions for film projects, and you will extend live-action backgrounds to match lighting and camera moves.

You will work closely with the DMP, Compositing, and Lighting teams to deliver assets that meet tight deadlines, ensuring color space accuracy and shot-to-shot continuity.

Qualifications

• Strong artistic foundation with cinematic lighting knowledge.
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Nuke, and 3D packages (Blender/Maya).
• Excellent organization for smooth hand-offs to Compositing.
• Ability to adapt to client feedback under tight production constraints.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality, photorealistic matte paintings and 2.5D/3D extensions.
• Extend and clean live-action plates to match lighting and camera moves.
• Collaborate with Lead DMP, Compositing, and Lighting teams for production-ready assets.
• Maintain visual continuity and color management across shots (ACES).
• Prepare mattes for projection with proper layer separation.
